Soloist in S. Sondheim Concert at Opera du Rhin

Baritone Eduard Ferenczi Gurban is delighted to join his colleagues from the Opéra Studio for L’Heure lyrique: Soirée Sondheim this June.

This is Ferenczi Gurban’s second musical theatre project, after his successful debut as El Gallo in The Fantasticks (Harvey Schmidt) during his first season at the Opéra du Rhin. The production offers him a valuable opportunity to further refine his artistry and deepen his understanding of the stylistic and aesthetic requirements of the musical theatre repertoire.

Stephen Sondheim’s musical theater songs are brilliant, original masterworks—each one a small drama in miniature. Together with the artists of the Opera Studio and under the musical preparation of Jasmine Roy, the singers will perform a curated selection of his finest pieces.
